ACPD multi-frequency sweep simulation

I am trying to run 2D and 3D simulations of ACPD multi-frequency sweeps in abaqus and would like to know which model is most suitable for the exercise, standard or electromagnetic? Is there a tutorial anywhere explaining the procedure? Or is it only possible to do such a thing on Ansys Maxwell?

If by ACPD you mean alternating current potential drop then you choose the electromagnetic model in Abaqus. Its capabilities are described in the documentation: Analysis —> Analysis Procedures —> Electromagnetic analysis. Abaqus is quite limited when it comes to such simulations since its primary focus is structural analysis. So you may have to use another software and SIMULIA has some products for EM simulations as well - check out CST Studio Suite and Opera.

Thanks for your response. I think that bit of documentation is talking about the standard model though.
