For a class project work, I am trying to add a new activity coefficient model to Aspen Plus. The basic idea for me is just to learn how to do it (I will publish that online for the next users, there is no such thing available anywhere, uuuh!), so even Wilson or NRTL model is completely satisfactory.
Unfortunately, I cannot find a good tutorial for this purpose on the web, so I decided to ask you as an expert to help me. The user model pdf file which is widely available in the internet does not give enough information about how it works.
So, I would like to ask if you might know a good tutorial about this type of issues. Moreover, I managed to find some templates for it in C:\Program Files (x86)\AspenTech\Aspen Plus V8.4\Engine\User directory. It is possible to compile the template so probably it should work fine, but I do not know how to embed it in the Aspen. I chose the GMUSR for the liquid gamma model (it is in Aspen Plus I Methods I Specifications I Global I Modify I Liquid gamma), the aspen plus help says that I should provide the “gmu.f” so the software can calculate the gamma but it does not say where I should put it and what are the next steps. My saved file is in this directory: C:\Flow\Processmodeling\ASPEN\sim1.apwz, I also put the gmu.f in the same directory but it does not work.
I get this type of message in control panel right now:
“<< Run reinitialized 10:17:33 Wed Mar 19, 2014>>

Any helps will be appreciated!
