Following your knowledge and experience please tell me what do you think about following case:
- Pressure vessel is designed according to AD 2000 Merkblatt
- Materials are taken from AD 2000 (part. W4 for nozzles pipes);
- min. operating temperature TS is –29 degree of Celsius
Shall be or not material grade St35.8 acc. to DIN 17175 with determined impact test at 20 °C applied in temperature as above mentioned if stresses category will be changed from I to II thereby safety factor increased to 4/3 x 1.5)

Hello IJzer,
So, in this case impact test is sufficient at 20 degree of Celsius or not? For me this is not too clear.
Jack

Impact testing @ 20 Deg. C would only be required if wall thickness is over 30 mm. Thinner walls do not require impact testing.

Hello IJzer,
Many thanks for your information,
If you remember please tell me on which part of AD2000 I can find this information.
Regards
Jack

According AD 2000 W10 , if stress cat II , you can use St35.8 DIN 17175 up to -60 °C without additional testing. DIN 17175 par. 8.4.4 requitres impact testing of St35.8 if tk is over 30 mm.
