Adams car problem

Hello guys, im a student in a formula student team, since last year i had been having the same problem with adams car i had no found a solution to this, maybe someone can help me. this is the problem

does the tire file exist ? can you navigate to it ? then why can't the Adams s/ware find it ? (ask Adams help desk or someone else ... teacher, someone doing the same problem, ...)

the file exist, i can navigate, the problem is that my university haven't a direct teacher, we hire a teacher from hexagon that show us how it works and he doesn't answer any mail i already send him, if yo can help me or give a posible solution i will apreciate

others in the class have the same problem ?

can you copy the file to a local folder, and work from there ?

maybe Adams helpdesk could help, but maybe you don't have an official license ?

well being the only guy in my entire formula student team to manage adams its a problem, i had already try that with the files gives by the program but still dosean't work i will try helpdesk i let you know

The problem is, as ADAMS has told you in unusually informative error message, that ADAMS can't see you tir file.

So is this database registered in the database manager? mdids://fsae_2018/ As you can see it isn't a filesystem type folder, it is a nickname.

Have you done the tutorial?

BTW in all honesty ADAMS is overkill for an FSAE team, you are much better off writing your own bicycle models etc or repurposing Bill Cobb's scripts, or using Dynatune, and using CAD for the kinematics. You will spend 6 months of your valuable time at uni learning to become a frankly wet behind the ears ADAMS guy/gal and with no correlation data your model is a hallucination.

first of all yes it his in the manager database the error started with the 2024 version in the 2023.4 version it work i has asked in diferent forums and any had give me a solution

i know that adams is a overkill trust me you are not the first guy to tell me this, i had already comment to my team lead and the answer is to continue, im already burn with adams but im trying my best. i sure to you that i being using adams for a hole year and its frustanting that adams gave me more problems that solution

You could try rebuilding the model from scratch, that is open a new assembly , and select each subassembly manually. Then save it as a new model.

i can't use 2023.4 version because my university upgrade the whole systeme in all the computer is very difficult to talk with one of the technician (they almost don't exist) i had search in reddit and other forums and any have gave me the solution its almost like a new problem idk, i had already do your idea but didn't work. i already send some email to hexagon people and i haven't recive a answer.
