Sorry, where do you get the idea it is an 'unknown joint error'?

Looking at the error message it looks like the initial attempt at assembly has failed. Try increasing your STATIC MAXIT, and increasing or reducing your ERROR setting (either works, for different reasons).

You could also try a static funnel, if you have that option in Car - I am not a Car user.
