Hi Guys,
I am using the adaptive milling operation in NX1880. This replaces a trochoidial milling operation I was happily using. I am using high speed machining cutters (6 flute, small radial depth of cut) and coming in full axial depth of cut from the outside of the job and skimming around it. I can't seem to control the radial depth of cut. Whatever I do my path step over is to big. The first path onto the job is also bigger than the others. Not optimal! Is this a limitation of the operation or is there some way I can decrease the radial depth of cut?
many thanks, James
