Hi,
I've two reference set, one 'Model' and another called 'Alternative'.
I've created the master model drawing with some view that point to the 'model' reference set.
It's possible to add some views that point to 'Alternative' reference set ?

Thank you...

Each component can only use one reference set at a time. If/when you change the reference set all the drawing views update to match.

There is a workaround to get views from different reference sets, but it's a bit messy.
[ol 1]
[li]add the component to the drawing twice (once for each reference set you want to use)[/li]
[li]set the 1st instance to 'model' ref set and the 2nd instance to 'alternative'[/li]
[li]create your drawing views, use 'hide component', visible in view, or view dependent edits to hide one or the other representation in the appropriate views[/li]
[li]if there is a parts list involved, set one of the components to 'ignore' so it doesn't affect the parts count[/li]
[/ol]

If you are making a drawing of an assembly, using arrangements is the preferred (and easier) method. However, there is currently no good way that I know of to handle alternative constructions of a piece part.

Hi cowski,
your solution works fine. The only precision is that for views that point to 'model' reference set, I point to the model view, instead to the other reference set I need to use drawing view.

Thank you...

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. Are you talking about importing views from the model to the drawing (i.e. drafting components)? If so, that wasn't what I was referring to in my post, though I suppose that approach might be useful in your situation.

What I tring to explain it's when you add views in the master model trawing, usually I add views from model and not form drawing model, but in this case (workaround), to show the component in twice mode, I need to add views form drawing model.

Thank you...
