Add dim's to clip view section?

Hello,
In modeling is it possible to add dimensions to the sections created from clip view? It seems I can use PMI but the dimension is on distant plane, not like they would be in a sketch. This isn't for long term just to be able to send quick screenshots.

Yes. Orient the WCS so that the XY plane matches the cut plane, switch to drafting, turn off the sheet display (if necessary), and add your dimensions.

There may be options within the PMI commands to get what you want, but I'm not familiar enough with them to answer that.
