Is there anyway in SW2004 SP1 to add new toolbars? I would like to take several commands and create my own toolbar but I don't see anyway to do it short of hacking an existing toolbar and I don't really want to do that.

Thanks,

I don't know of any way to do this except to hack an existing toolbar (perhaps one you don't intend to use). You could then add and subtract any buttons you like, I would think.

It's in the API interface. We have our own tool bars for our custom tools. Ask your VAR for some of the support you are paying for. They should be able to get you there.

P.S. You can do both menus and toolbars.

Toolbars and menu items need to be done as addins. It is possible to add menu items and toolbars in run time, but they won't stick.

Look in the SW API help under Addins. Also, check out the examples on solidworks.com. Also see BitWright.com for examples.
