Hello,
We have an application involving an injection molded Delrin cap being inserted into an aluminum extruded door slat that is powder coated.
This application is similar to a roll up door on a hurricane shutter.
The current attachment method is a friction fit between the delrin end cap and the extrusion. The cap fits inside the core of the extrusion. A snap tab that would project through a hole in the slat would provide good mechanical retention, but this will involve more expensive tooling and extra modifications to the slat.
Can someone recommend a good adhesive for bonding delrin to a powder coated surface. I believe the powder coat is a polyester type.
Thanks,
Kyle
