Could anyone please tell me the name of the transparent gel like, high modulus of elasticity, removable adhesive used by credit card companies to attach the cards they send out to the accompanying letters - and where one can obtain it?

The glue that you are referring to is called a PSA. PSA's are removable adhesives. They come in a wide variety. They are available as a hot melt (Like the credit card), or individual dots (more expensive but no equipment cost). Depending on your peel strength and substrates (materials that you are attaching) you will either have a High, medium or low tack.

I hope I've helped,
John

Glueguy John - I had the same exact question. Thanks for the identification of the material. Do you know where I can buy the dots?
