Hello,
I have an urgent issue that you might be able to help me with.
I recently did a detailed topographical site survey with my Leica TS02 total station. This was on a green field site so there were no control stations available on site.
What I normally do in those circumstances is setup using 'origin with angle', give an arbitrary figure for my origin/total station coordinates , i.e. 1000, 1000, 1000 and set the angle at random.
I am not sure what I did with this survey but when I look back on the surveyed points, there is no z co-oridinates for either the original total station location or any of the surveyed points.
The measurements all appear to be saved in the TS ok, i.e. all distances, angles, etc. but it is not computing the height/z coordinate.
It seems that I did not input a z co-ordinate for the original total station location and now it is unable to calculate the coordinates for any of the subsequent measured points.
The total station wont allow me to edit the values for the original TS location.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone has any ideas/comments
