Hi,

I have a quick question.

As per our client standard, the following is mentioned:

"Horizontal vessels shall normally be arranged to a slope 1 in 200 towards the drain point. No adjustment to nozzle settings or supports is required to compensate for a slope of this magnitude."

It is normal practice to fabricate different saddle heights in order to accommodate vessel slope. And then nozzle is fabricated to maintain perpendicularity to true horizontal line. I don't understand my client mentions for no adjustment in nozzle or supports.

Your kind help is required

I agree, it doesn't make sense unless this vessel is only a few feet long.

Perhaps they meant to say "No angular adjustment to nozzle settings or supports is required..."?

I'd agree w/ Christine74 & interpret that the nozzles & supports are perpendicular to the vessel CL, and at what ever projection is shown.

I'd not assume that, so I'd agree w/ XL83NL, ask the question.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
