I have modeled one half of a wing panel including all complexities into an assembly. Is there a way to mirror this assembly so that i have the left wing panel also, and then delete the right one so i have two separate sub-assemblies? If this won't work, is there a way to model one part, say on the right side, and then mirror it and delete the other so I have two separate parts for the right and left?

By the way, I am using Wildfire 2.0

Thanks for you help!!

Create a new temporary assembly. Assemble your wing to it.

Select Insert-->Component-->Create. Choose the Subassembly and Mirror option. Make sure it's naming your mirrored parts as you want it to.

You won't have a feature tree in any of the mirrored parts.

One tip for mirroring parts is to use a datum plane or surface from the original part. This way, your original part and new mirrored part have no external references. If you use an assembly datum as a mirror plane, you will retain external references in your mirrored part.
