Hi, All

I am a new member sine I just found this forum.

Now, I have an advanced simulation problem and want to get help.

I built a assembly FE model with 4 sub-assemblies, total number of node is ~33k, element is ~35k. The procedure of building this model is smooth and the response of NX is quick.

But, after I build the model and start the Sim File to establish a normal mode simulation, it is too slow. I have to wait around 1 hour to get menu displayed and set parameters. The real simulation is quite fast, last only 2-3 minutes. Next time, when I try to open assembly SIM file, it also very slow and nothing is displayed for around 1 hour. The corresponding CAD assembly file and assembly FEM file work well, only as long as SIM file involved, it will be slow, have to wait ~one hour.

My NX is NX 8. Machine is a new Dell t3500 with Xeon 4 core CPU, 12g ram, quadro 2000 graphic card, normal 7200 rpm hard disk.

Attached please find the log file.

Thanks a lot for kindly help.

try this :
set the environment var:
UGII_SMP_ENABLE=1

Hi, uwam2ie

Thanks for the reply.

Tried to set env variable, a small improvment, not too much.

Any other idea to solve this issue?
