Hi all,

Please enlist the advantages and disadvantages of industrial electric heating methods as compared to other heating methods (e.g. gas, oil heating etc).

Thanks to all in advance.

Have you checked your utility bill lately? I did all those things you are supposed to do to lower your home bill. I now pay more for the basic service charges a year than I do for the total gas used with supplemental charges. And that is with last years numbers before I added even more insulation. This was also a very cold winter.

That's why I said "Heating what?". Space heating for offices / work spaces I'd say gas or oil, hands down. But if you are trying to melt titanium, that's a different issue. You would not get the BTUs out of fuel oil to do it very effectively.
