Hello everyone!
I need some advice regarding the design of a concrete slab for CNG compressors. The slab required is 32 feet long by 9 feet wide. The CNG equipment weighs a total of 38,000 pounds and its center of gravity is closer to the right end of the proposed slab, at 20 feet from the left end. A prior design utilized concrete with compressive strength of 4,000 psi. I require the slab to be at least 6 inches above grade. The proposed site is presently dirt covered with grass.
So here's the questions:
Can someone provide formulas or calculate the thickness that I would require?
Do I need steel rebars? A prior design used #4 rebars at 12".
Do I need sand or crushed stone underneath it.
Anything else anyone could recommend or a design that you could provide.
