AS 1170.2 Tab E5 has drag force coefficients; Cf,x andCf,y; for UB/UC type sections for d/b ratios of 0.48 and 1.0.

Does anyone have similar data for other beam sections?
Is there a general formula for coefficients for varying d/b ratio?

The following seem to fit but there are only two points to work from.
Cf,x(?=0deg)=2.5-0.9*(d/b)
Cf,y(?=90deg)=-1.9*(d/b)
where 0.0<=(d/b)<=1.0

Thanks apsix. Has anyone got something similar for beams of different aspect ratio?

dik,
now I know where AS1170.2 gets its values from. Unfortunatley it adds no further information.

The information shown in the NBCC supplement that was attached was obtained from research done in Switzerland in the late 1940's, I understand.
