Are these extrusions, forgings or rolled sections?

Technically, you would have to re-solution heat treat then quench, followed by two-step aging. T651 requires heating to 250 F for 24 hours, while T7351 requires 225 F for 6-8 hours followed by 350 F for 6-8 hours. You might try heating to 350 F for somewhere between 6 and 18 hours. Check SAE AMS 2772 and 2770 for more details.

AMS2770D seems very clear. in table VI, 7075 lists temper b4 aging T6, 250F for 8-10 hr, temper after aging, T73.
AMS2770H confuses me a little. in table 7, 7057 starts at AQ (as quenched) and W (solution heat treated). but note 4, says step 1 may be omitted if parts in T6 temper.
the parts are already made from T651 bar. it should be T7351. solution heat treat will damage/distort the parts. just want to make sure, it can be done by 250F 10 hr from T651 to T7351.
thanks.

For this situation, my former employer, an aerospace supplier, would re-age at 340-360F for 6-8 hours.
