Aging Composition of 15-5 PH

Good day to all. I'd seen a very interesting thread pertaining to how the composition can help dictate the aging temperatures. Sadly, that post is closed. I was wondering how this calculation was accomplished. How does the composition content impact the treatment process values and what elements specifically are critical to such? I would like to be taught how to fish this matter, not just given the fish. Is there links, formulas, cheat sheets, etc.? Is there also similar content for 17-4, 13-8, & 17-7? My sincerest gratitude goes out to any of you that can put me on the right path...

I have never seen any broad description of this.
I know of some technical papers that have explored this.
I have also specified material (15-5) with special chemistry to meet minimum strength and improve low temperature impact toughness.
A lot of people have paid serious money to have ICME calculations done to explore this.
This does work two ways.
One is how do you adjust HT as a function of chemistry to get the same results.
Or how do you adjust chemistry so that you can optimize some aspect of the properties.

Ed, in my scope, I'm the treater. Therefore it would be very advantageous and generous of you if you're able to help me with option 1. "how do you adjust HT as a function of chemistry to get the same results".

How much data do you have?
We used to run samples in a lab furnace.
We could control the temperature to +/-5C and times to the minute.
And all samples were the same size.
We would age at two different temperatures and measure both tensile and impact properties.
You also need to understand the impact of small changes in annealing (and/or conditioning temp) has on final properties.
Do you have the old Armco handbooks for these alloys?
That is a good starting point.
Attached is most of the 17-7 handbook.
