Hi All,
I'm working in an HVAC contracting company.I'm preparing a load schedule to be submitted to our Consultant for one of our projects.I have to mention specifically the type of load(Continuos, standby, intermittent). As per my understanding AHU & ACCU are continuous loads.is it correct?.What type of load is AHU Heater? Intermittent?

Air handling unit. Typically a big electric heating element in a sheet steel box.

If it is an intake pre-heat battery I would treat it as continuous, but I don't know what your code is to comment objectively.

This is a heater built inside the AHU.The HVAC engineer says it is used for humidification/dehumidification...Also will a heater have specified power factor and electrical efficiency?checked the catalogues and couldnt find any..

Heaters usually have a unity power factor because they're resistors. Efficiency? Generally considered to be 100% efficient at converting electricity to heat, occasionally known to produce light. I've never really thought about heaters having an 'efficiency' as such.

Good..Even my idea is the same..But the consultant have given me a wierd format to enter all such parameters for hvac equipments we are installing...Guess I'll have to modify the format then..Thanks a lot..
