Air duct maker

Hi,

I am looking into the process of making sheet metal air ducts. Does anyone have experience and/or knowledge about a sheet metal duct production process or even something like an 'air duct maker'?
Also I am looking at plasma and laser cutters (for the sheet metal), but I worry that the heat from the plasma cutter might affect the galvanised sheet metal. Any thoughts on that?
