How would one expect air velocity to vary through a rectangular duct section? (measured using a Pitot-static tube)

Recommended for you

Velocity is max in the center going to zero at the walls. The profile will depend on if its laminar (parabolic) or a blunted parabola in transition flow, to nearly a flat face parabola in fully turbulent flow.
