Does anyone know of a good reference on the theory and performance prediction of air lift pumps?

look in "compressed air and gas data" by Ingersoll - rand
Chapter 31 - air lift pumping.
Advantages and disadvantages; how it works; systems; steps in design.
I have the third addition sirca 1980
I have used the Ingersoll-Rand data for design of an air lift and it seems to predict well the performance with water. Is there any information on how to adjust the design data to allow for the effect of using the air lift to pump heavier fluids. In particular a slurry of milled ore at a relative density of between 1.30 and 1.40? [sig][/sig]

That is a problem that I have in my files, but it will take some time to dig out.

I think you might be able to find this in a mineral processing book.

Good luck!! I am rather slammed
