Hello,

I'm trying to design/fabricate an air-lift system to clean-out the bottom of my caisson shafts.

The description my supervisor had given was vague, I understand the concept but need some easier direction or a cut-sheet. I've searched on-line and was unsuccessful.

If someone could supply some directions or a cut-sheet just so I can see a visual it would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Joe

Air lift pumps require submergence of 1/4 to 1/3 of TDH. They won't de-water you hole but could remove sand and muck. Check out this link;

Shown is a concentric air supply, an air pipe down the outside of the eductorand enter thru the side works just as well. The pipe below the air supply is the tailpiece while the the verticle distance from the air pipe to WS is submergence.
