Does anyone have experience with a manufacturer of composite propellers. There are multiple companies willing to make composite props, but have yet to find one that is interested in designing a custom propeller (eventual production rates could be well over 100 per year). The approximate size would of the propeller would be 30 inches.

Thank you.

Airplanenut,

We have already contacted Steve B. from Sensenich. He does not have much experience in composite props in this size range. We will use them as an alternate, we were looking for a company with experience in this size.

The prop size you are looking for is quite small.
It is around the size used on some early ultralight aircraft with direct drive motors like the Lazair
There is an Australian company that makes carbon fiber props. However I do not know if they make one that small.
You may have already contacted Warp drive , but I believe their smallest prop is 38" dia.

There are many players in the field of composite props. See Sport Aviation, the magazine of the EAA.

How about Hartzell Propellors in Piqua, Ohio? They make composite props for the ATR turboprop.

Following Berkshire's suggestion about ultralight propellors, I thought you might try IVO, as well. Like they all said, some quality time with Google will turn up bundles.
