aircraft windscreen design

This is a fairly broad/general question on an not-so-easy engineering topic.
Are You looking for: (a) 'big picture' aspects of general design, fabrication, testing, installation, maintenance etc for a windshield system [IE: specs/requirements, tech literature, design manuals, etc]; or perhaps (b) the general/detail design aspects of integrating a new windshield system into a new or existing air-vehicle design ; or perhaps (c) detail design, fabrication and assembly elements for a windshield panel from the perspective of a windshield vendor; or (d) design aspects that I haven't yet mentioned, such as: for military aircraft, for spacecraft, ultra-large-bird penetration resistance, etc…; or perhaps (e) a combination of two or more of these aspects/elements listed???

The cockpit windscreens used on commercial jets are highly engineered and specifically designed for each application. Here is a link to PPG's product:
