I thought this was halfway interesting.
I guess maybe a plant could hire someone with this equipment to come in and inspect several motors in place during a plant outage.
What do you guys think? Anyone ever seen this?

I've seen something similar for much larger machines which we used for wedge inspections. The machine in your link seems to have achieved a greater level of miniaturisation: the device I watched would not have been able to survey a motor with a 10mm airgap. If you Google "generator airgap camera" you'll find a couple of links similar inspection tools.
