Dear AISC Manual User,
AISC is currently developing a plan for the creation of the Unified ASD/LRFD Manual of Steel Construction. There are a number of issues that must be addressed to facilitate the merger of these two design methods, and we need your help to ensure that the Manual appropriately addresses the needs of the industry.
As one step toward this goal, we are asking that you take a few minutes to fill out the 15 questions found at about how you use the Manual of Steel Construction and how you would like to see the next edition of the Manual presented. The information that we collect in this survey will help us to make decisions about the format and information contained in the Unified Manual of Steel Construction.
Please send this message on to anyone in the design and construction community who uses the AISC Manual of Steel Construction. The quality of the document is enhanced by the number of different perspectives reflected in the results. The survey must be completed by May 20, 2003.
Thank you for taking the time to help with this important effort.
Sincerely,
Christopher Hewitt
AISC Staff Engineer
