How do I move the Alerts box, as it's always hidden behind the Part Navigator/Assembly Navigator ?

Try preferences - user interface. Then under the General tab there is a "Reset Dialog Box Settings" button, hit it.

I have, but the Alerts Box is in the bottom left-hand corner of the graphics screen. I have the resource bar on the left, and when it's pinned open the Alerts Box is hidden behind it.

In the User Interface Preferences menu you also have the Layout tab there is a Reset Window Position option?

My mistake, my resource bar is on the right.

The reason it's hidden is that I don't use a maximised graphics window. I like to drag and drop files.
