Hi, I've been working with an early-ish version of Algor Fempro (v. 13) and I have to apply a surface force. The problem is... I have to apply the surface force to only a *part* of the surface. Is there a way I can split my one surface mesh into two? or is there another way to acheive this?

The model was imported from Inventor. Thanks!

Spikecomix,

v.13 was really the first introduction of FemPro. To apply the surface force to a portion of the a surface, you need to send the model to SuperDraw III. I don't recall off the top of my head which pull-down menu that option is on, but I think it is under "Tools: Export to SuperDraw III". You can select specific edges in SuperDraw III and use "Modify: Update: Surface" and select some higher surface number. It may still be called "Color" instead of Surface. Also, if you are going to a higher surface number, don't select the perimeter edges of the region that you are trying to update or it will consider the adjacent elements to have the same surface characteristics and, therefore, the same loadings.
