In a sketch

how to you draw a bunch of 2D lines in the XY plane, then translate the sketch so its changed to being in the YZ plane?????

There are three ways of doing this:

1) Transfer into Superdraw III and perform the "Transform XY to YZ" command. This is accessible through one of the pull down menus...can't remember which right offhand.

2) Take the lines which you have drawn in the XY plane and copy them to the YZ plane. Then make these lines part of a sketch.

3) Draw them in the YZ plane to begin with. When you're in 2D sketch mode Algor should prompt you for which plane you want to draw them in.

In SuperDraw III, I think it is under the "Modify" pull down menu.

Sadly, I haven't stayed up with the sketching capabilities of Algor, but I think you can "CTRL-X" in your current sketch, change planes and "CTRL-V" on Stringmaker's 2nd method.

Amazing, the help files actually work!

After you've created the sketch, finish it by clicking the green check mark to close the sketching tools. In the tree view, right click on the sketch that you are trying to transform. The bottom option of the menu is "Transform sketch to Y-Z plane". Works well.
