Align drawing views across multiple sheets in an NX 6 drawing file

I have 3 drawing sheets and each sheet contains the same drawing views for a variation of a part (3 variations total). Is there a method for aligning the views across the drawing sheets? For example the top view, I want its placement on the sheet to be the same for each sheet. When I export a PDF when I am finished I want to be able to page through the drawing set and see that the overall part views are in the same location. I find that it is easier to see the differences from one sheet to the other (or from one part to the other) this way than if the whole view is shifting as you go from sheet to sheet.

While this won't provide an 'exact' solution, it should go a long way toward making it easier to accomplish what you're trying to do.

Have you considered turning on 'Grid Lines'? To set them up, while the drawing is being displayed, go to...

Preferences -> Grid and Work Plane...

...and toggle 'ON' the Grid Setting 'Show' as well as 'Show Major Lines' and perhaps even the optional 'Show Labels' which should make it even easier to get an acceptable alignment. Once displayed, you can set your 'Major' and 'Minor' Grid Size to something appropriate for your Drawing and View sizes. If you use Drawing Templates, you could even set this up ahead of time and just toggle OFF the display of at least the 'Major Lines'.

Anyway, give it try and see if this might help.

The only technical way I that I can think might work if you've already created all the views is to go into information>view and by selecting the view you want to align record the XC and YC positions that you can read off the information window that will pop up. Then you can work out the distance that you need to move views on the other sheets by doing the same thing and calculating the difference. If this is theoretically correct then you ought to be able to move the views a set distance in either direction under edit>view>move/copy view and then tick ON the distance control type in a value and by selecting and dragging your view the exact adjustment should be possible.

Whether the centre of the view as defined dictates that the geometry will overlay from one sheet to the next is I guess what you're likely to find out by experimenting with these controls.

If you're creating the views from scratch it is almost certain that copying them from one sheet to the next within a single multi sheet drawing file will place them in the identical locations provided that all of the sheets are the same size. That can be found under edit>view>move/copy view and you simply tick on copy view this time and select your view and click the To Another Drawing Icon.

The easiest way IMHO is to put all the views on top of each other on one sheet.
They will be perfectly aligned as they will 'snap' to each other.

Then in your 'PART NAVIGATOR', you can drag one of the views onto a different sheet and it will retain its sheet position.
