Hello everyone,

I have a challenge, and i hope someone can help me with it,
I am currently working on a product that is powered with 4 AA battery (energizer EN91)datasheet attached Taking into consideration that the 4 batteries are connected according to the configuration in the picture below

I tried to search in the following companies (Maxim integrated, analog devices, Texas instruments)to see if there is a product that can support this function, however i still couldn't find yet,
Can someone please advise about the method and if possible recommend a chip of battery gauging for this type of battery

Kind Regards,
Ahmed Tarek

Doubt you'll have much luck with that. Alkaline batteries have a large enough voltage drop over their discharge as to be 'gauged' by simply measuring the cell voltage given a known loading and using the battery voltage/SOC tables.

Take a look a Bulgin Battery Holders BX0027. They don't show a circuit diagram, but it looks interesting.
