I really am hoping someone knows whether they've moved or removed the setting for resetting all vectors to black. In r-14 & earlier, you could go to settings(preferences)>display>>colors dialog box (you know- where you change your screen color from black to white) and check the box "monochrome vectors" which on a white screen would result in all black vectors. This was ideal for ^c copy-clipping your vectors into a sheet for faxing AND OTHER PURPOSES. Vectors picked up that way remaained vectors (not pixels) and were thus very useful in lots of ways. For instance- ever needed to fax a client a check print? or capture the contents of a drawing for the illustration in an article you were writing? Ever need content for a black on white logo extracted from the contents of a drawing that would print at max sharpness no matter what zoom.......

Anyway, Any suggestions for finding the setting (or maybe the variable it controlled) for all MONOCHROME VECTORS?

Thanks again-

One thing you could do is:

Manage the layer colors by using the "save state" and "restore state". I am assuming that all elements are color bylayer.

1. Go to the layer manager, select the "save state" box, and enter a name for the current color settings. Make sure all the layer states and layer properties are selected.

2. Now select all layers, change all colors to color 7 (black). Go to the "save state" box again and save it under another name.

Now you can change the colors back by using the "restore state" command to change the elements back to their original layer colors by using the layer state name that you made in 1. above. To change them to black again, use the "restore state" and select the name created under 2. above.
