Hi Folks,
I am looking for some info on the Alstrom Generator Circuit Breaker espeically from anyone with Operational experience. My experience/preferance is primarily on the ABB breaker. however i am now faced with a decision on the alstrom breaker.
i would be very grateful if anyone could post some comments with regards to the alstrom breaker. of interest would be cases of operational failure or in general any faults/problems you may find with the breaker.
Kind regards

To respond to exactly your question I would need to know what the problem is. In general the breakers have worked ok. Two things that you need to know with any device, espically power devices.
1. Insulation power factor tests are essential to the understanding of whemn these will fail
2. with circuit breakers never beliele the ductou readings unless done at the rated current. any questions get back to me.

Basically im trying to research the Alstrom Breaker History. of special interest is field experience with these breakers., failures or operational problems that may be out there.
Kind regards
