Alternate positions in MDT6

I have a model in MS, create views in PS. Now I want to show, say a slide, in extended postion solid, and retracted position in phantom. I would like to do this in the same view, and without creating a 2D polyline-outline of the geo. and just moving it for my stroke. I know you can do this in Works with "Alternate Position". Anyone know for Desktop?
