Alternative to Hall Effect Sensors for high speed rotation?

Hi -

I think the title is descriptive enough - I'm looking for something other than hall effect sensors to accurately determine rotational position at speeds up to 45000 RPM, and be relatively economical... I am currently using 3 hall sensors to drive a brushless motor and would like to look into any creative alternate solution.

Many companies make BLDC motor drives ( IC or complete circuits). Search for&quot;brushless motor&quot; <nbucska@pcperipherals.com>
