Does anyone have experience with either of the following materials in Marine / Seawater service.
ASTM B26 Alloy 356.0 T6 and ASTM B26 Alloy 713.
I believe that the former is OK for these services but believe that the latter whilst good for machining due to its high Zinc content is not good in Marine or Seawater services.

Does anyone have any experience with these alloys in the above.

Hi Brayman:

I think you'll find this article enlightening, as it discusses B26, various duplex grades and debates other factors to bear in mind when choosing alloys that match up with seawater processes:

Hope this helps!
