Aluminum arc welding

I am working with a process where aluminum is used in an arc welding automated machine. There are currently copper masks which shield the part from over spray. However the build up is causing a problem. Is there another material that the aluminum will not stick to?

Welding and spraying are not the same. Make up your mind are you welding or e.g. thermal spraying.
