We process cut/route a lot of Aluminum extrusion and that goes to wash (iron phosphate) and than for powder coating.

We are suspecting that a lot of chips goes into the washer and are sprayed again and again and sticks to the product which is powder coated later on.

Would anyone suggest the possible solution..?

Some ideas: Use a filter in the wash water pump intake line, or use a settling tank seperated by a baffle from the return sump. If you already have a filter, clean or replace it. Try adding some baby shampoo to the water (very small amount, to act as a surfactant and cause floating aluminum chips to sink). Incorporate a final fresh-water rinse to your wash cycle.
