I have a drawing that calls out an aluminum spec. of AlZnMgCu 1.5F48.

Does anyone know of a comparable U.S. material specification??

The F48 indicates the desired ultimate tensile strength of the end product in MPa, multiplied by 0.1. In this case, 480 MPa. It is an obsolete designation from DIN 17007.
