I need a good updated and detailed book or article describing the following :
When the temperature on the exterior side of a water tank differs from that on the interior, atemperature gradient will exist in the wall. A wall of circular water tank cannot expand or contract freely causing temperature induces stresses. The magnitude of this stresses are difficult to predict.
The temperature gradient in the wall will induce a hoop Force and a circumferential Moment.
I need a solution for this problem.i need a closed analysis of the moments and the forces acting on the cross section
