Ambiguous measurement information??? 1

Can someone please explain this behaviour for me please.

I measure 2 diagonal corners of a block and in the information window, it tells me that the distance in WCS XY plane is 111.8mm

I then rotate the WCS X->Y 90 degrees and then Y->Z 90 degrees which in my mind makes plane on the bottom the WCS XZ plane

However if I repeat the measurement I figure that with it being a WCS type measurement, the XZ plane should read 111.8mm but is does not, the XZ plane still reads 180.27mm. Surely the measurement should be relative to the WCS and not the ABS?

I know that there are other ways of measuring this, but some of our users still like the "old methods" and are very quick to point out things that others wouldn't necessarily see using alternative tools.

The link below is a video of the process.

Best regards

All measurements actually ARE taken in Absolute Space, however the values are 'reported' in both Absolute and relative to the WCS. What you've encountered appears to be a bug, which I will report (open a PR).

I just installed and tested NX 8.0.1.4 (Phase 5 will be the actual release) and this issue appears to have been resolved.

And before you ask, since this is not a critical issue (it does not effect the accuracy or validity of the model or any downstream results where this model is used), it's very unlikely that this fix will be back-ported to an NX 7.5 MR/MP.
