Dear All,
I decided to write the following thread in the refining section even though ammonia is not a Hydrocarbon but because the process used to produce it ressembles so much standard ferining processes, I beleive that it is relevant.
I am a head process enginner in an Ammonia Plant that is shut down since November 2001. We intend to mothball the plant, but in such manner that would allow us to resume operations in less than 20-25 days from the day we will decide to start up the plant again.
Does anyone has any experience on chemical plants mothballing. Especially, experience in mothballing of Hydrogen Units and large rotating equipment will be particularly helpful,
Thank you in advance,
Dimitris.....
