Hi All,
I have designed a simple non-inverting amplifier using LM358 with gain of 1.76 (Rf = 0.76K & R1 = 1K). I have given a supply voltage of +5V to the opamp. My input voltage varies from 0 to 5V. My problem is that the output from the opamp gets saturated at 3.6V(which is limited by the opamp supply voltage). I wanted to increase this saturation voltage(opamp output) somewhere near 4.2 to 4.3V.
I know that by increasing the supply voltage to OpAmp to 6 or 8V, and having a diode connected to 5V supply, i will be able to trim my output to 5V. But i need to achive a rail to rail voltage of 4.3V (I don't mind the saturation of output at 4.2V or 4.3V) with just 5V supply to opamp.
Note: I tried the same circuit with LM741, which requires dual supply of +5V/-5V,the output saturates at 4.2V.(All the other circuit components remains the same, like resistor, gain = 1.76 etc)
Pl tell me anyways to achive this, or suggest any other IC that will work on 5V single supply and give me an output saturation close to 4.3V.
Thanks in advance,
Santo
