Hello everyone,
I've been working in the field of FE structural analysis for the past seventeen years. I've extensively used i-Deas, Nastran, Radioss, Pamcrash, LS-Dyna and, lately, have concentrated on Abaqus which is the software I know best.
The analyses I need to use, in order of importance for the work I have to do, are
- Implicit linear and nonlinear static.
- Explicit nonlinear dynamic (crash analyses).
- Implicit linear dynamic (modal analyses, frequency response).
Starting mid March I’ll be working at a client’s where, among other things, I’ll need do perform analyses with ANSYS which I never have used and of which I have no availability at the moment (although I’m awaiting a short time license as soon as the buy gets through with the company’s bureaucracy).
Any tips as to how to transition from the software I already know, how to get started. Is Ansys very dissimilar from Abaqus?
Thanks in advance,
Giacomo Girino
