Hallo everybody, I,am new in this site,i have a question? There is a new product supply to our company .The name of the product is Matrex All-weather concrete Patch.( Tok crete 45).From the material safety data sheet;the content of the product are listed as follows:
CAS# Ingredient ACGIH TLV Arprox.wt% PEL
1488-60-7 Silica(Quartz) 0.1mg/qu.m 50-60 0.1(MSHA)

01309-48-4 Magnsium Oxide - 4-5

My task is to annalyse if the product contains Magnisium chloride 6-hydrat,magnisiumsulphate 7 hydrat(CRYSTALLIN).
Do any body know how i can carry out the anlysis without having too much complications? OR a website that gives information dealing with similar analysis?I hope to get an advice from you.thanks martino6000

You must define if a qualitative or quantitative analysis is required. In the first case, just test the presence of SO4 or Cl anions.
Silica should not interfere.

Both Mg salts are water soluble. Can you find the water content with thermogravimetry?
