Hi,

I would like to apply a static analysis a cantilever beam, as follows:
1. I apply a 50 mm Y-direction displacement as load. The solution is done.
2. After that, I have to del this load, and apply a new which is a force.
My problem is: ANSYS do not save the first analysis results, so when I apply the new load in step 1, it restarts the analysis and don't apply the force to the deformed shape (which I got in step 1).

Please help me.

Sorry about my bad english.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Best wishes,

Clint,

If you are using Workbench: Have you considered using two modules - one static structural module to apply the displacement, lead the solution to another static structural module in which you apply the 2nd load? This will surely apply the load to the deformed shape.

If you are using APDL: I would suggest double-checking your time steps, but I am not as versed in this application as workbench.

I hope this is of some help to you.
