Analyzer Technologies
I am putting together a table for quick reference on analyzer technologies used in the oil and gas process industry.
I would like some advice from the community to review the accuracy of the table and potentially add any technology that I may have missed.
Detector/Sensor Type[tab][tab] Analyzer Type
Barrier Discharge Ionization [tab]Chromatography
Flame Ionization [tab][tab][tab][tab][tab]Chromatography
Flame Photometric Detector [tab]Chromatography
Photoionization Detector [tab][tab] Chromatography
Thermal Conductivity [tab][tab][tab] Chromatography
Chemiluminescence [tab][tab][tab][tab] Spectroscopy
Fourier Transformed Infrared[tab]Spectroscopy
Nondispersive Infrared [tab][tab][tab]Spectroscopy
Tunable Diode Laser[tab][tab][tab][tab]Spectroscopy
Quantum Cascade Laser [tab][tab] Spectroscopy
Perhaps the next step would be to specify the application (type of fluid and composition to be analyzed) of each and the experience (pros/cons).
Comments are welcomed.
